Debt Awareness Week

DEBT AWARENESS WEEK

Debt is often seen as a taboo subject and many do not seek help through fear of embarrassment or the unknown. By not seeking for advice, financial woes spiral out of control and this has longer lasting damage on consumers’ livelihoods.

During debt awareness week Zenowethu Debt Management shared testimonials and advice across social media platforms; brand activations and presentations at various workplaces and shopping centres, with the aim to highlight the importance of financial literacy and seeking for advice.

What is debt awareness week?

Debt awareness week is an annual campaign that was launched by the debt charity StepChange in 2014. This week aims to educate consumers and raise debt awareness, seek advice and speak up to ensure their debt problems don’t spiral out of control.

When is Debt Awareness week?

In 2023, debt awareness week took place between 20–26 March.

Why should you get debt advice?

If you are in debt then the first thing you need to know is that help is available and you should not pay for debt advice.

Debt advice can help resolve consumers’ financial problems, improve their wellbeing, boost their confidence and set them on a road towards greater financial resilience.

What Is Debt Management?

Debt management is the process of planning your debt liabilities and repayments. You can do this yourself or with the assistance of a debt counsellor from Zenowethu Debt Management. We work with your creditors to negotiate lower interest rates and combine all your debt payments into one monthly payment.

Consider consulting with a debt counsellor from Zenowethu debt management to review your debt situation and your options for managing it.
